“IMIENINY” (NAME DAYS) FOR THE COMING WEEK. Help to maintain a longstanding Polish Catholic tradition by acknowledging relatives, friends, and colleagues who are celebrating their “name day,” corresponding with the feast day of a saint of the same name. Where there is more than one saint of the same name who has been assigned a day, your “name day” is the one closest to your birthday. It is customary in the Polish tradition to acknowledge the name day of a relative or friend:
November 22: Cecylia, Marek
November 23: Adela, Klemens
November 24: Emilia, Emma, Franciszek, Gerard, Jan
November 25: Katarzyna
November 26: Jan, Konrad, Leonard, Sylwester
November 27: Dominik, Maksymilian Walery
November 28: Jakub
November 29: Fryderyk

OGŁOSZENIA / ANNOUNCEMENTS
SPECIAL GIFT PRESENTATION TO OUR PARISH: After Mass today we are all invited to go to Christ The King Anglican Church (beside Wentworth Park/funeral home). They have made a beautiful banner for our new church that says “Zmartwychwstanie” (Resurrection) and shows a phoenix rising from the ashes. It’s similar to a banner they have in their church, which was rebuilt 30 years ago after a fire. It would be really appreciated if you could join us there after Mass today -- which is also the Feast of Christ the King and the 230th anniversary of the Anglican presence in Sydney. Thank you.
NEXT SUNDAY AFTER MASS - SPECIAL LUNCH - AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET AND ACKNOWLEDGE WORKERS WHO ARE BUILDING OUR CHURCH - ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRE: Despite the sad anniversary, it will be a happy and hopeful time. Everyone is welcome to lunch. Special thanks to Joan Candelora for kindly donating a slab cake. The following is a list of parishioners who are next in the rotation to please bring a dish: Mike Morykot, Joan Mosher, Sophie and Roddie O’Toole, Florence Paruch, Patricia Paruch, Stella Paruch, Christa Porter, Mary Pierrynowski, Edmund and Maria Rudiuk, Lynette Ryba, Peggy Ryba, Krista Ann Starzomski, Catherine and Herb Tucker, Elaine Tynski-Shipley, Nellie Tynski, Tom Urbaniak, Genevieve and Janusz Wawrzyszyn. Please bring a non-perishable Loaves and Fishes item to the lunch next Sunday if you can. Thank you.

A NOTE ON ST. CECILIA AND THE CHOIR OF ST. MARY'S POLISH CHURCH: St. Cecilia, martyred around the year 230 in Rome because of her Christian faith, sang to God as she lay dying. She is the patron saint of the Choir of St. Mary’s Polish Parish and of church music. It was Father Leo O’Connell who began calling our choir after St. Cecilia. The Choir of St. Mary’s Polish Parish, under the direction of Mary Pierrynowski, is Cape Breton’s only Polish choir, a “living treasure.” Thank you so much to our choir for being excellent ambassadors for our parish. Bóg zapłać!
