“IMIENINY” (NAME DAYS) FOR THE COMING WEEK. Help to maintain a longstanding Polish Catholic tradition by acknowledging relatives, friends, and colleagues who are celebrating their “name day,” corresponding with the feast day of a saint of the same name. Where there is more than one saint of the same name who has been assigned a day, your “name day” is the one closest to your birthday. It is customary in the Polish tradition to acknowledge the name day of a relative or friend:
September 1: Bronisław, Bronisława, Bronisz
September 2: Bohdan, Czesław, Eliza, Henryk, Julian, Stefan, Tobiasz, Witomysł
September 3: Antoni, Bartłomiej, Bronisław, Bronisz, Izabela, Jan, Joachim, Mojmir, Szymon, Wincenty, Zenon

RECENT REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS: The work of repair and renovation for our 100th anniversary continues. In the past week, the missing siding on the steeple has been put back. The landscaping in front of the church has been beautified. The washroom improvements should be done in a few days.
