Niech Bedzie Pochwalony Jezus Chrystus!  Na wieki wiekow!
The theme in today’s gospel is that of salt of the earth and light of the world. We as believers and followers of Jesus are called to be disciples As such, we are called to be both salt and light to the world. This is both a wonderful task but a difficult one. Let us reflect on how much we need God’s help if we are to be faithful.

Last Thursday, about 19 people came to our first Candlemas service where candles were blessed and carried in procession as we celebrated the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the temple. We also sang “kolędy” and carols following the Polish tradition of concluding Christmas on that day.

I am planning to have 10 weekly sessions of adult Catholic faith formation. We will establish the calendar dates at this week’s Rada meeting. We will be using DVDs by Bishop Robert Barron.

Heritage Pilgrimage Tour to Poland & Ukraine 2017: Last Wednesday we had our second meeting. It was well attended. We have deposits for 32 and we have reserved a block of 38 seats. Our next meeting will be on a Sunday afternoon in March. If interested, please contact Father Rich.

Edyta Bączyk-Clark will be conducting a special Polish Class for traveling in Poland beginning after Easter that will be of interest for those going on the trip.

PREP classes are cancelled for today but Father Rich would like to meet briefly with ALL Altar Servers immediately after Mass for some new procedures.

First Sunday of the month Potluck Luncheon will be held after the 10 a.m. Mass today in Sala 1050.

POLISH FOLKLORE WORKSHOP: This will resume next  Sunday in Sala 1050. Shari McKay and the Pogoria Dance Ensemble will facilitate the workshop. All welcome!
