“IMIENINY” (NAME DAYS) FOR THE COMING WEEK. Help to maintain a longstanding Polish Catholic tradition by acknowledging relatives, friends, and colleagues who are celebrating their “name day,” corresponding with the feast day of a saint of the same name.  Where there is more than one saint of the same name who has been assigned a day, your “name day” is the one closest to your birthday. It is customary in the Polish tradition to acknowledge the name day of a relative or friend:
July 12: Andrzej, Feliks, Henryk, Paweł, Piotr, Weronika
July 13: Ernest, Eugeniusz, Jakub, Justyna, Małgorzata, Radomiła, Sara
July 14: Damian,  Franciszek, Izabela, Marcelina
July 15: Daniel, Dawid, Henryk, Iga, Ignacy, Lubomysł, Niecisław, Włodzimierz
July 16: Andrzej, Maria Magdalena, Marika, Stefan
July 17: Aleksander, Andrzej, Bogdan, Marcelina, Maria Magdalena, Aneta
July 18: Erwin, Kamil, Karolina, Robert, Szymon
July 19: Wincenty

Prośba: A SPECIAL REQUEST: We are still inviting everyone to please share names (and, if possible, addresses) of everyone who should receive a direct, personalized fund-raising appeal letter for the capital campaign for the rebuilding of our church. Please give these to Patrica Paruch (Rada Secretary) or Stephanie Black (Fund-raising Convenor). Many thanks.

POPE FRANCIS ON SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP (remarks last week in Bolivia) “But if you build on solid foundations, on real needs and on the lived experience of your brothers and sisters, of campesinos and Indigenous Peoples, of excluded workers and marginalized families, you will surely be on the right path. “The Church cannot and must not remain aloof from this process in her proclamation of the Gospel … Let us always have at heart the Virgin Mary, a humble woman … lost on the fringes of a great empire, a homeless mother who could turn a stable for beasts into a home for Jesus with just a few swaddling clothes and much tenderness.”

TO CONTRIBUTE ON-LINE TO OUR REBUILDING, PLEASE GO TO OUR PARISH WEB HOME PAGE ( and please click the link to our Canada Helps donation page. It’s a secure system and you’ll receive your charitable tax receipt promptly. Thanks for your support! Please spread the word.

New “IMO” (Building Fund) cards and envelopes have been printed and are at the back of the church.

REBUILDING FUND CONTRIBUTIONS: Building Fund contributions will go toward the new church. To contribute to the rebuilding if you do not have an envelope, you can also write on your regular envelope or cheque “Designated to the Rebuilding of St. Mary’s Polish Church.”
